Off to the South Pacific!

On to the Galapagos

The truth is I’m tired. I really don’t want to be writing a blog post right now. I haven’t stopped since I got back to the boat a month ago. Every day has been a grind to get the boat ready for this moment. I think the rest of the crew could attest to that. I can’t wait to be underway, with nothing to worry about except simple things like sailing the boat, reading, sleeping eating food, and taking a mental break.

In many ways, tomorrow is a day I’ve been dreaming about for at least 10 years. Sailing my own boat to the South Pacific. For reasons I can’t even explain to myself it feels like something I have to do. I’ve tried time after time, but it seems I can’t move on with my life until I sail across this ocean, on my own boat. Sometimes I feel something is waiting for me on the other side.

I haven’t really had time to be excited, but I’m sure it will hit me at some point on the 900nm passage to The Galapagos.

That’s all I have energy for tonight guys. I’ll have 900nm to write an inspirational blog post to upload when we arrive.

Track our progress to the Galapagos with the following two links!

Predictwind Tracking link – This one will transit once a day when I turn on the Iridium to check weather.

Globalstar Spot Tracking link – This one will constantly transit and update our position and speed every few minutes.

Here are some photos from the Panama Canal transit and the past week. Talk to you guys next from the Southern Hemisphere!
